When Jack & Ellie got in touch about their wedding at Pennard House and we heard all about this Grade II listed family-owned country estate with a converted Coach House and beautiful gardens, you can safely say we were just a little bit excited!! As soon as they booked us as their Pennard House wedding photographers we planned to meet them there for a little pre-wedding shoot ( you can see more of that here ) and to have look around this romantic wedding venue.

Our bride Ellie got ready in the stunning Orchard room bridal suite, with a roll-top bath, chandeliers & beautiful natural light pouring in from the windows, a perfect spot for your morning prep! Our groom Jack was joined by his groomsmen in another part of the venue, we love the fact both he bride & groom can get ready at the same venue in the morning, it’s such a stress free start to the day! After getting dressed they headed outside to greet guest as they arrived ahead of the ceremony.

The couple had their hearts set on an outside ceremony, the good old English weather wasn’t playing ball but with cover provided by a stretch tent, they had their dream of an outdoor ceremony on the idyllic grounds at Pennard House. It was a beautiful ceremony, there were lots of smiles and a few tears as Jack & Ellie said their vows. The couple headed onto the lawn in front of the main house and everybody cheered as they showered the newlyweds with confetti.

After a few family photos we whisked the bride and groom away for their couple photos. With the backdrop of the rolling Somerset countryside and a beautiful English garden in full bloom, we were spilt for choice! And of course we had to include the wedding tipis!

The wedding breakfast was held in the Coach House at Pennard House which is a wonderfully converted 18th Century Coach & Stable building. There is seating in the old horse stables, so unique!! The speeches were made and delicious food & drink was served. After the cake cutting, the band started up and the newlyweds took to the dancelfoor and enjoyed their first dance before everybody joined the to dance the night away.
