Weddings at Charlton House Spa
Emma & Graham had the most wonderful relaxed wedding at Charlton House Spa which is a stunning country retreat situated in Somerset surrounded by the Mendip Hills. We arrived and headed straight to the bride, this was our first time photographing a wedding at Charlton House Spa so we were super excited to be at a new wedding venue in Somerset.
Kerrie let out a little squeal of delight as she saw the brides blush wedding dress and pink wedding shoes!! Along with the bridesmaids mint green dresses, we knew we were going to love every minute of this day. Local Somerset wedding florist, and a friend of ours Jen delivered the beautiful wedding flowers, they were just perfect for the soft pastel colour theme of the day.
James headed to the groom Graham, he looked so smart in his navy suit and blush tie, one of our favourite colour combinations. He was greeting guests as they made their way into the beautiful ceremony room that was full of natural light that we just love! The guests were seated and the ceremony began. It was a heartfelt service, you could really feel the love between the two of them, and with their little son Oscar watching and the odd tear from both mums, it was hard not to get swept up in the emotions and we had to hold back a tear or two!
Everyone headed outside to enjoy a few drinks, then in good old fashioned British style, the rain came so we all headed back inside for a confetti line back in the ceremony room. The rain cleared up so we all made our way outside again for some family photos and a few couple portraits on the stunning grounds of Charlton House Spa. Emma’s old cheerleader friends gathered and recreated their old cheerleading lift with the bride!! Our hearts were in our mouths but they pulled it off in style!!!
The wedding breakfast was served and the speeches were made, including a brides speech which we always love to hear. The couple cut their wedding cake and made their way to the dance floor for the first dance. We took the couple outside for a few more photos, Emma had bought a pink leather biker jacket for the day so we had to get a few shots of her in that!
After a few party shots we said our goodbyes and left everyone to dance the night away. A huge thank you Emma & Graham for choosing us to photograph your beautiful wedding day at Charlton House Spa, we loved your venue so much we returned the following month for a relaxing spa day and reminisced about your wonderful wedding day, it was bliss!!
