Weddings at Orchardleigh House

We are so excited to share this wedding at Orchardleigh Estate with you today! This was our first time photographing a wedding at Orchardleigh House that sits on a 500 acre estate with breathtaking views which is the perfect backdrop for your Somerset wedding! We met Brad and Nicole at a wedding fair in Somerset last year and we were so happy when they booked us to photograph their wedding at this stunning Somerset wedding venue.

The October sun was shining as our day started at the Castle at Orchardleigh Estate, the bridal party were being pampered whilst chatting and enjoying breakfast. We all headed up to the main house for the final touches, there was a mix of nerves and excitement as the time got closer. The champagne was popped and the bride stepped into her beautiful Pronovias wedding dress.

The groom Brad and his groomsmen made the most of the morning with a game of Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting before heading back to Orchardleigh House for the start of the ceremony. The rain held off just in time so the couple could have their ceremony outside in The Belvedere which we thought had a feel of ancient Greece and is set in the beautiful surroundings of the estate, a real beauty of a spot for a wedding ceremony! 

After the fun confetti exit, we all made a mad dash inside as the heavens opened! Everyone enjoyed a few drinks and canapés, we saw a break in the weather so whisked the newlyweds outside for a few couple portraits on the stunning grounds of this romantic Somerset wedding venue. 

Dinner was called and the bride & groom and all their guests enjoyed delicious food and drink before the speeches were made, this is always a real fun part of the day, we always find ourselves giggling behind the camera. Then it was time for the cake cutting, the grooms Godmother made their lovely green and white wedding cake, we were very impressed! The newlyweds took to the dance floor for their first dance before everyone joined them to party the night away.
