Elmhay Park Wedding - Somerset wedding photography

Elmhay Park photographer

Matt & Molly had their wedding at beautiful Elmhay Park on the Orchardleigh Estate in Frome. After a couple of postponements due to you-know-what, it was so lovely to see them they finally have their day, and it was so worth the wait! We were all weather watching in the lead up to the wedding day as storm Eunice was heading our way, luckily it passed the day before their wedding, nothing was stopping their big day this time!!

Molly and her bridal party were being pampered and fussed over by the hair and make up team at the Garden House at Orchardleigh Estate. There was such a relaxed atmosphere, although there were a few tears from the mother-of-the-bride throughout the morning which is always so precious to capture. Molly wore a beautifu lace gown, she looked amazing! And her maids had the prettiest bridesmaids dresses in shades of pink, oh how we love this colour!

Matt and his groomsmen got ready at the Garden Cottage, they were all joking around as they got dressed into their blue and grey suits and made their way to the ceremony which was held in the Italian Gardens at Elmhay Park. Decorated with white paper lanterns and vases full of wild herbs, it is such a pretty location, and even though the rain was falling hard, you still had that feeling of being outside. Molly arrived and the ceremony began. The vows were made, they exchanged rings, and before they knew it they were announced as husband and wife!

The rain disappeared so we headed into the stunning walled gardens at Elmhay Park for family photos. Then we took the newlyweds away for their couple portraits, we headed straight to our favourite door in the walled gardens which we discovered back in 2018 when we photographed our first wedding at Elmhay Park.

Everyone made their way to the light filled orangery for the wedding breakfast, there was dried lavender and wheat dotted around in an array of vases, a semi-naked cake made by the grooms mother underneath a sea of fairy lights and beautiful chandeliers. The speeches were made, one by a bridesmaid which we always love to see, and delicious food was served.

After the cake-cutting and the first-dance, it was time to party!! Our friend Kieran got everyone on the dance floor, the atmosphere was electric!! Kerrie had to restrain from joining in when one of her favourite songs came on, Bruno Mars ‘24K Magic’, looooove that song!!! She may join in next time, so future couples, be warned ha-ha!!

We left everybody to enjoy the night, thank you so much to Matt & Molly for choosing us as your Elmhay Park wedding photographers! And we are so excited to be returning to this lovely Somerset Wedding venue soon.
