Relaxed Summer Wedding at Kew Gardens
“I just want to start this next chapter in our lives, with all our favourite people, with some delicious drinks on the lawn, hopefully in the sunshine, that would just be amazing!” Well Alexandria, we think your wedding dreams came true! After weeks and weeks of rain, the sun finally came out to play at this beautiful, relaxed summer wedding at the wonderful Cambridge Cottage at Kew Gardens.
We met the groom Chris along with his 5 groomsmen at the Coach & Horses on Kew Green. He looked knockout in his Gieves and Hawkes suit, and we loved how his groomsmen had a simple buttonhole attached to their white shirts, perfect for a June wedding. James headed to Kew Gardens with the guys whilst Kerrie waited for the arrival of the bride. She looked radiant, her hair and make up by Amanda Roberts was simply stunning. She made all her own bouquets, full of just the prettiest summer florals they looked amazing! Alexandria enjoyed a few glasses of bubbles in the garden with her close family and 5 stunning bridesmaids. Her maids wore the prettiest summer floral dresses by The Kooples, they were giggling and laughing all day as they fussed over the bride and made sure she was looked after.
The bride made her way over to Cambridge Cottage, their friend played the sweetest music on his guitar as Alexandria made her entrance accompanied by her father. Chris was beaming with pride as he watched her make her way down the aisle in her outfit by Tantrums and Tiaras & Halfpenny, London. It was a beautiful, intimate ceremony conducted one of their close friends. The bride and groom glowed with happiness as they read their vows to each other, their smiles just melted our hearts.
Everybody headed out onto the lawn, Alexandria and Chris opted for a bubble confetti exit, these are always so much fun!! Guests enjoyed a few drinks on the beautiful grounds outside Cambridge Cottage as we whisked the bride and groom off for some photos around the grounds of Kew Gardens. We stopped off at the stunning lake and of course the impressive Palm House. Members of the public were congratulating the newlyweds as our driver, Annie, escorted the us all around the grounds.
We made our way back to Cambridge Cottage and into the evening reception where everybody enjoyed delicious food and drink before the all important speeches. There were a good few jokes told and words full of emotion and love before everybody made their way out into the warm early evening sunshine to see the couple cut into their very tasty looking naked cake by Le Papillon Patisserie
The DJ Matt from Prelude Entertainment got the party started as the newlyweds took to the dance floor, ‘Lover of the light’ by Mumford and Sons rang out as the bride and groom spun around the dance floor, they sure had some moves!!! Then everybody joined in, what a party, there was a lot of foot stomping! We left them partying into the night, Alexandria and Chris, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your wonderful day!
