Etsuko wanted to learn to speak English, John wanted to learn to speak Japanese. They met on-line and helped each other to learn the other’s language, and something special began. After meeting and falling in love, John moved to Japan and the rest is history! How romantic! Etsuko & John had already taken their marriage vows in Japan where they both lived, they then travelled to England for a traditional English ceremony and we were so happy to be a part of such a beautiful day! From the stunning bridal gown, to the pretty colours of the wedding cake, there was just so much to make you smile at this intimate, relaxed wedding.
The bride got ready in the Ante room at the Trafalgar Tavern, Greenwich. With perfect light coming through the ceiling to floor windows, it was just magical to capture. Next door, the groom and his family were setting up the Nelson rooms. The groom’s sister had made their beautiful wedding cake along with the cutest cupcakes!
Everyone headed to their seats and the ceremony began. A family member had gotten ordained the day before so he could conduct this very intimate ceremony. Etsuko had the sweetest smile as she came down the aisle. They exchanged rings and everybody clapped as they had their first kiss.
After a bubble exit on the stairs to the Trafalgar Tavern (oh we LOVE a bubble confetti exit!!) we headed outside for a short while for a few family photos. Etsuko’s flowers were so pretty, the colours popped against the white of her wedding dress. The newlyweds could not stop smiling. We headed inside for their evening reception, the speeches were made and everybody toasted to the bride & groom.
There was a fun DIY photo booth station that everybody made the most of, and after the cake cutting, and piñata hitting (!) the couple took to the chandelier adorned dance floor to dance the night away.
