Let us transport you to the heart of the beautiful English countryside with this stunning summer wedding at Priston Mill! Whenever we get asked why we moved 170 miles from London to become Somerset wedding photographers, we are going to show them this beautiful wedding day!! As soon as Rachel & Matt contacted us (thanks to a recommendation from Marybeth Trigwell) we were counting down the days to photograph our first Priston Mill wedding!

It was a glorious July day, the sun was shining and it was just the perfect weather for an English summer wedding. The bride hired a local Villa in Bath for her and all her bridal party to start the day, there’s always a mix of nerves and excitement as everybody is getting ready, and when the bride stood into her beautiful wedding gown the atmosphere was pure magic.

The groom Matt was greeting guests at Priston Mill ahead of the ceremony, he wore a 3-piece stone-coloured suit which matched the rustic countryside setting of this picturesque English wedding venue which is located near Bath. The couple had opted for an outdoor wedding ceremony which was held on the grounds of the Watermill at Priston Mill, with private gardens and panoramic views of the rolling Somerset countryside, it really is an idyllic spot to say I do!

The bride arrived and the ceremony began, there is something so special about an outdoor ceremony in Somerset, and with the small brook babbling away and the warm July sun adding to the scents of lavender and scented flowers filling the air, it was the most beautiful, tranquil ceremony ever. After the confetti exit, we let everybody relax on the lawn with a glass of bubbly before taking the newlyweds away for their couple photos around the grounds of this stunning Bath wedding venue. From the backdrop of the ancient watermill to the idyllic gardens and open fields, we were spoilt for choice!! 

Everybody was called in for the delicious wedding breakfast. When we first walked into the wedding reception we thought we were dreaming! The tables were named after flowers and the top table was named Eucalyptus, our absolute fave foliage EVER! And we have to give a special mention to the popcorn cheesecake….that was the BEST cheesecake we have ever tasted!! And we have had a fair few in the past!

The pretty pink and white wedding cake was cut and the new Mr & Mrs took to the dance floor, with the light up ‘LOVE’ letters in the background, it was the perfect end to our first time photographing a wedding at Preston Mill, and we really hope to return to this romantic Somerset wedding venue soon.
