We invite you to a Somerset wedding at it’s finest!! From a good old trusty Tractor to a contemporary barn wedding venue overlooking wildflower fields, Merren & Harry planned the perfect Somerset wedding mixing classic & traditional with a few modern touches. The bride got ready at her parents house in a quaint little English village, it was a beautiful summers day, June is definitely one of our favourite months for a wedding! They were married in an idyllic little church followed by an epic confetti exit, the newlyweds were literally showered with confetti!! 

The couple really wanted to include their beloved pets into their wedding day so before we headed to the reception we made a detour, led by the groom driving his trusty tractor, to the family farm where the couples horse & dog were waiting. We got some absolutely beautiful photos of the newlyweds in the heart of the English fields, we will never forget watching Merren, with her stunning wedding dress flowing, lead her horse through the fields, it was a surreal moment!!

We headed to The White Barn which is a large whitewashed barn situated on Frogmary Farm in South Petherton. With white panelling & high ceilings, it was very comparable to the industrial American barn wedding venues we have seen before, a beautiful blank canvas that is light & airy and a natural light photographers dream! Merren & Harry had filled the space with pretty warm peach florals & gold decor including miniature models of tractors & farm animals. 

The guests were treated to delicious food served at the long rustic tables, the speeches were made & everybody toasted the newlyweds. The Somerset wedding band began as the couple took to the dance floor before everybody joined in to dance the night away.

Our first time being photographers for The White Barn was a dream!! Merren & Harry, thank you for trusting us to capture your amazing Somerset wedding, it’s a day we will never forget!!
