There’s something undeniably magical about an autumn wedding, especially when set against the backdrop of Brympton House, a remarkable Grade I listed country manor house in the heart of Somerset. Described as the most beautiful house in England by Country life, Rachael & James chose this breathtaking venue to host their big day, this majestic wedding venue really is a dream for any couple looking to marry in classic English country style.

Rachael wore the most romantic wedding dress by British-designer Sassi Holford, with long floaty sleeves and intricate detailing adding a whimsical feel. The couple chose a palette of soft pink and rich burgundy was absolutely perfect for an autumn wedding. As guests arrived, they were greeted by a tree-lined driveway covered in autumn leaves, the ceremony took place in Castle House which is the oldest building on the estate, over 800 years to be exact! It has a warm, medieval feel inside, and as the couple exchanged vows, every detail, from the vows to the music, felt intentional and personal.

Following the ceremony, guests were ushered into the salon for the wedding breakfast. With large windows over looking the South Terrace, with traditional English decor & tables draped with sage green linens. The newlyweds opted for a sweetheart table, framed by a beautiful broken floral arch with shades of blush and burgundy.

The couple’s wedding cake was displayed in the cake room, yes, Brympton House has a whole room dedicated to the wedding cake!— a single tier cake atop a tower of cupcakes decorated with pretty pink & burgundy blooms—it was almost too beautiful to cut. The evening ended in the party barn, with fairly lights draped across ceilings and the music ringing out, everybody joined the newlyweds after the first dance to party the night away.
