A stylish black tie wedding at St Audries Park

St Audries Park wedding photographers

Imagine exchanging vows in the heart of the Somerset hills, surrounded by elegant rolling landscapes, majestic deer roaming nearby, and the timeless beauty of nature. Sophie & Jordans wedding at St Audries Park in Somerset was all about blending style with fun and was the perfect example of how to mix classical elegance with the charm of the English countryside.

The couple chose to hold their ceremony in the venue’s stunning Orangery, neutral-toned floral arrangements along the aisle added a fresh, yet sophisticated touch. Guests watched as the couple exchanged vows, in between all the emotional moments, the couple’s lighthearted nature shone through—they were constantly stealing glances and laughter as they said “I do.” With an impromptu dance after the first kiss, how romantic!!

After the ceremony the guests lined up for a bubble exit, as the couple laughed their way through the bubbles the Welsh Choir began singing at their top of their lungs, Sophie had booked them as a surprise for Jordan, what a moment! As the choir continued, we snuck the newlyweds away for a few couple portraits amongst the serene gardens, they were complete naturals in front of the camera.

The reception was held in the banqueting hall at St Audries Park with views overlooking the stunning deer park. Neutral-toned flowers adorned each table and with floor-to-ceiling glass panels, guests could admire the views and watch the deer grazing peacefully in the distance as they enjoyed champagne and fine dining as they enjoyed the speeches and toasted to the happy couple.

As the sun began to set, we headed outside for a few photos in the sun kissed English fields, nature’s finest backdrop! The couple laughed and danced as the sun began to set before heading back to cut into their beautiful three tiered white wedding cake adorned with fresh white blooms.

The couple’s first dance took place in the Grand hall, the brides father sang "I can’t help falling in love with you”as the bride and groom waltzed across the dance floor. Guests joined them soon after to dance away to the tunes of the Sax player and the celebration continued late into the night. This wasn't just a wedding that looked good—it felt good, too.

Sophie & Jordan, thank you for choosing us as your St Audries Park photographers, you are a reminder to everyone that even the most luxurious of weddings can (and should!) be full of fun and laughter.

Much love J&K x
