A beautiful sunny Saturday in May, a wonderful couple and the backdrop of the Somerset fields? This is why we wanted to be a Somerset wedding photographer!!! Lucy and Josh chose the beautiful Dairyhouse Farm in Somerset to say 'I do’ and it was perfect for the relaxed, country farm wedding they were looking for.

The day started at Lucy’s parents house, she was getting ready with her bridesmaids and flower girls, there was such a relaxed atmosphere as everyone was being pampered by the hair and make up ladies. The groom Josh got ready with his groomsmen at home, James joined them whilst they were getting ready before making their way to Dairyhouse Farm to greet all their wedding guests.

The bridal party made their way to the wedding venue in a pretty VW camper van! There was lots of laughing and prosecco drinking on the way to the farm. Lucy looked stunning in her satin wedding dress, she was positively glowing as she made the way down the aisle accompanied by her father. 

The ceremony took place in the Old Dutch Barn at Dairyhouse Farm, it is such a lovely spot for a ceremony, made even better with the warm May sun shining down on everyone. After the vows were taken and the confetti was thrown, everybody enjoyed drinks on the grounds of this lovely Somerset farm wedding venue which is set on the edge of an ancient woodland. 

We whisked the newlyweds away for a few couple photos around the farm, the wheat fields looked spectacular in the sun so of course we had to use that as a backdrop for a few photos. Weddings in Somerset really are magical, with the rolling hills and English countryside all around you, it truly is the perfect location to get married.

The wedding breakfast began and the speeches were made. The couple had chosen a woodland themed cake that fitted in very well with the rustic wedding feel of this beautiful barn wedding venue, there was lots of laughter as they cut into it. The band played as Lucy & Josh hit the dance floor for the all important first dance as husband and wife, all their guests clapped and cheered before joining them to dance the night away.
