When we first met Emily & Ed at one of Holbrook Manors wedding fairs, we knew instantly that their wedding day was going to be something special! As furniture makers, we knew the wedding day details and decoration would be spectacular, add in the most beautiful florals, the cake of dreams and a stunning Sassi Holford wedding dress and we have never been so right!!

Emily got ready along with her bridal party at Holbrook Manor in Wincanton, a romantic Georgian country house set on the borders of Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire. It was all very relaxed with lots of giggles whilst they all enjoyed the morning together. The groom Ed arrived with the groomsmen and the couples beloved golden retriever Ralph. They all enjoyed a few drinks and laughs before they headed outside and started greeting the wedding guests.

The bride stepped into her exquisite wedding dress, with silk brocade fabric and bespoke sleeves it was breathtaking and was made for her. The brides father entered the room and you could feel the pure emotion as he saw his daughter for the first time on her wedding day, they embraced and shed a few tears, what a moment!!! After a few final makeup touches it was time to head down the sweeping staircase for the ceremony.

Emily and Ed had their hearts set on an outside wedding ceremony and the weather Gods well and truly listened!! It was a quintessential English summers day with the bluest of skies and warmest of breezes. The ceremony was lined with handmade wooden arches covered in the most beautifully couloured florals, with brightly coloured ribbons adorning the backs of the chairs. The music began and the bride made her way across the lawn accompanied by her father and the ceremony began. Their dog Ralph, with his cream collar and lead (and a bow made in the same fabric as the brides dress!) watched intently as his humans said ‘I do’!

After the fun confetti shot that was lined with flower adorned wooden arches, everyone enjoyed drinks on the 20 acres of lawned gardens at Holbrook Manor whilst we whisked the couple away for their couple portraits. We headed towards the woodlands at this beautiful Somerset wedding venue, the grass was tall and the traditional Manor House and the English countryside acted as the perfect backdrop. for their wedding photos.

The wedding breakfast was served food and the speeches were made before the couple cut into their beautiful wildflower adorned wedding cake and the first dance was had. They couldn’t leave Ralph out so he joined in before everybody piled onto the dance floor to dance the night away.
