Devon wedding photographer - Shilstone House wedding

Holly and Ashley got married at the beautiful Shilstone House in Devon. We arrived at this romantic Devon wedding venue on a glorious summers day and headed to the bride. As we had photographed Holly & Ashleys church ceremony last year, we had got to know the bridal party and it was like seeing old friends again! There was such a fantastic atmosphere as all the final touches were being done. All the girls were drinking prosecco and enjoying a delicious brunch by a fantastic new company in Devon called Bridal Brunches, all arranged by the brides lovely sister Hayley.

Ashley was waiting with his groomsmen outside the stunning Shilstone House, the sun was shining and the bride arrived accompanied by her father to make her way down the aisle. They had an outdoor wedding ceremony in front of the Georgian manor house, surrounded by by rolling Devonshire countryside, it was the epitome of an English country summer wedding!

After the ceremony, LOTS of confetti was thrown as the couple made their way to the lawn to greet everyone and enjoy a few glasses of bubbles. We did a few family photos before stealing the couple away for a few beautiful couple portraits on the grounds of Shilstone House.

Everyone made their way to the walled garden for the wedding breakfast. With olive branches adorning the wedding reception, not to mention the Mediterranean heat, we could have easily been mistaken for thinking we were in the heart of the Italian hills!

It was a wonderfully relaxed wedding day enjoyed with close family and friends on a perfect English summers day. Being a Devon wedding photographer really is one of the best jobs in the world! Thank you so much Holly & Ashley for trusting us (twice!) to photograph your Devon Wedding!
