As wedding photographers in Somerset we absolutely love when our couples book an engagement shoot with us! And that’s exactly what our lovely JK couple Emily & Craig did ahead of their Somerset wedding. Pre wedding & engagement shoots are more of an American tradition but we really hope they catch on here in the UK as not only can our couples get used to being in front of a professional camera to build up their confidence before the big day, they get to see how we work and get a great set of photos they can use for a save the date or even to display at their wedding reception. Sounds good right?

We always send our JK couples an email a few weeks before their pre wedding/engagement shoot with tips on what to wear and how to prepare for the day & Emily & Craig arrived looking absolutely fantastic & nice & relaxed. As they got engaged New Year’s eve (how romantic?!) a winter photo shoot seemed like the perfect option for them. We met Emily & Craig on a cold December morning in Glastonbury, with its quirky shops and the Glastonbury Tor as a backdrop we knew we could get some great photos there

We strolled through Glastonbury Town, stopping to explore the many side alleys leading to the most interesting shops. We were amazed at the size of some of the crystals on display in the shops, not to mention the price wow. We ventured to a park area and photographed Emily’s beautiful solitaire engagement ring whilst they took some time out and had a ride on the swings. Whenever we go for engagement photos in Somerset we always like our couples to have fun!

As we are all huge coffee lovers we stopped at a lovely little café in the centre of Glastonbury town where we grabbed a few lovely shots of our bride and groom-to-be whilst they chatted over a hot coffee about their upcoming wedding in Somerset this summer. Oh we really can’t wait!
