Your Bridesmaids Dresses

So, you have decided on who you are going to ask to be your bridesmaids, and you have chosen your maid of honour. Once they have all helped you choose your wedding dress, you can relax (a bit!) and start thinking about what colour you want your maids to wear on your wedding day.

First to consider would be the time of year. For spring weddings, we think pastel colours suit best. Think soft pinks, pale blue or one of our favourite colours, mint. For summer you can be a bit bolder, with orange or yellow complementing a summer wedding beautifully.

For autumn, think of gold or bronze, or even a gorgeous sage, these colours will look perfect against the autumnal colours of the trees. For winter weddings, navy is classic and will make an ivory/white wedding dress stand out perfectly in your wedding photos. Or maybe opt for pretty blush, or ice blue for a wintry feel.

The other thing to consider when choosing your bridesmaid’s colour, is will they compliment your wedding bouquets? Speak to your florist and ask what flowers are in season and maybe plan your colour theme accordingly.

Of course, you may simply have a favourite colour that will make it an easy choice to choose your bridesmaids colours, or you may decide to mismatch the colours altogether! It’s your wedding day, do it your way!
